Google Chat Tab is now rolling out in a new Gmail app

In a similar way to how Google Meet is compatible with the Google email platform, the Google chat tab is now rolling out in a new Gmail app.

Personal Gmail accounts will be able to use this “integrated workspace,” which is now available to corporate Workspace users.

Google is attempting to make Gmail the new “workplace” with this merger. Instead of switching between tabs, users would be able to complete all tasks on one page.

You’ll see a new pop-up outlining the changes when you return to the Gmail home screen after enabling the functionality. Every section of the pop-up explains the current Gmail interface, which allows you to access your addresses and video calls by clicking the tabs at the bottom. The first tab displays all of your addresses, the second the ‘Google Chat tab,’ the third the ‘Room tab,’ and the fifth the ‘Meet tab.’

On both Android and the internet, several free Google accounts will now be able to use the new Gmail with Chat feature. This feature is not yet available in the iOS app. For enterprise accounts, admin approval is required. To start, make sure you have the most recent Gmail update from the Google Play Store.
