The Pakistan government issued a discontinuation directive for Rs. 7,500 bond with immediate effect, through the Ministry of Finance.
Notice issued today said that the circulation of Rs. 7,500 awarded bond would be immediately seized and nobody would be allowed to handle or trade an Rs. 7,500 prize bond with an immediate beginning of its use.

The following three options to convert your bonds are provided to Rs. 7500 bond holders:
- Convert to higher denomination bonds of Rs. 25,000 or Rs. 40,000
- Replace with Special Saving Certificates
- or encash the bonds.
It should be pointed out that, for people interested in converting Rs. 7500 bonds with higher bonds, six commercial banks can do so, namely:
- NBP
- HBL
- UBL
- MCB Bank
- ABL
