Jazz 4G Generated the highest-ever Revenues of Rs. 55.05 bn during 1Q21

Despite a growing pandemic, the first quarter of 2021 has remained a big turnover for Jazz 4G. In the 1Q21 market, Jazz has increased its position on the market and posted double-digit turnover growth, according to Veon’s trimester results announced. Jazz 4G has maintained its strategic focus on 4G penetration and the expansion of digital services in order to promote future growth in the telecoms market in Pakistan.

Jazz 4G generated the largest sales of Rs. 55,05 billion in 1Q2, an increase of 11.7 percent over Rs. 49,282 billion, the same quarter of last year’s sales it had reported.

Total sales grew 12% YoY, followed by a second strong mobile data revenue quarter, which grew 28% YoY. The expansion of Jazz’ 4G user base was an important part of the growth. In this quarter, 3.7 million new users gained from the telecommunications operator compared with 2,9 million in Q420. The Jazz 4G penetration rose from 29% to 42% YY, driven by a 62% YY upsurge among 4G users. While the Jazz customer base contributed a 12% increase, the ARPU in 1Q21 decreased by just 0.5% of YoY.

JazzCash also saw a strong quarter of total sales that grew 27% YY. The user base of JazzCash grew double-digit by 13.9 million monthly, active users and 30.8 million recorded wallets (+67% YY) each quarter.
