Summer Travel Destinations

Take a look at some of the most gorgeous vacation destinations you can visit if you want to spend some quality time with your family or are searching for some peace and quiet for you and your significant other during the summer vacation:

1. Sydney

Sydney is a sunny and attractive city in Australia, with great weather, over a hundred beaches caressed by the open ocean, some truly breathtaking sites, and a welcoming environment.

While the Australian squad competes in the World Cup, the most ardent supporters will have already departed for Brazil or will be confined to clubs and pubs. The Australians are friendly people that will welcome you as long as you don’t cause any issues.

They have a decent beer and can brew some excellent coffee. From amazing restaurants and coffee shops for foodies to shopping, clubs, and beaches for partygoers, to museums, the world-famous Sydney Opera House, and galleries for art lovers, Sydney has it all

2. Nice

Nice is a true gem for anyone seeking a taste of the elegant French Riviera lifestyle. Although France has a long history of football supremacy (they hosted and won the 1998 World Cup), the south is more about soaking up the sun on the sandy beaches, sampling good wines and French cuisine, and taking in a bit of culture.

It was and still is a playground for the rich and famous, but even on a more modest budget, you can have a lot of fun.

3. Venice

The Italians have already won the World Cup four times, so it’s no understatement to say they’re looking forward to the competition.

The lovely city of Venice, on the other hand, is geared toward tourists, so you’ll be able to enjoy your visit without encountering too many ardent admirers.

You can enjoy a gondola ride, eat lunch in the open air at Piazza San Marco, and shop for a genuine mask for next Halloween at one of the many mask shops. These are just a few of the many wonderful things to do in Venice.

4. Crete

Greece is a popular summer vacation location for good reason. Crete is the largest Greek island, and it mixes modern conveniences with stunning natural beauty.

It has a plethora of ancient historical sites, very nutritious and delicious Mediterranean food, magnificent beaches, and consistently pleasant weather for the majority of the year.

The island also has enough to offer nature lovers, with two aquariums and beautiful flora and fauna. The island still has some somewhat quiet spots, making it a perfect retreat for couples.

5. Honolulu

Honolulu, the state capital of Hawaii, is a small city that is densely packed and highly contemporary. It is primarily reliant on tourism and so has much to offer its guests. You won’t hear much about the World Cup or encounter an overly enthusiastic atmosphere.

Near-perfect weather – temperatures rarely dip below 70 degrees Fahrenheit in the coldest months and seldom rise over 90 degrees Fahrenheit in the hottest months – excellent beaches, plenty of surfing, great food, and incredibly hospitable people are just a few of the best aspects.

6. Barbados

This is another island paradise with mild weather and visitors who come to enjoy the sun, clean waters, and tranquilly.

You won’t have to worry about World Cup fever because the islanders are more interested in cricket and horse racing than football, and you’ll have lots of opportunities to go windsurfing, golf, take a submarine trip, and explore the stunning island fauna at Hunte’s Gardens.

7. Kyoto

This Japanese city isn’t on many summer vacation bucket lists, which is a shame. The city has a rich and illustrious history, with plenty of historical sites and magnificent eastern architecture to view.

It is also known as “The City of Ten Thousand Shrines,” and it offers visitors a one-of-a-kind opportunity to go on a spiritual pilgrimage or simply admire the tranquil and gorgeous shrines, monasteries, and castles.

There are also numerous museums and festivals with a millennia-long history, many of which take place throughout the summer.

Bicycling is a terrific method to visit the city because there are several routes that allow you to see some of the best sights while navigating the city’s tight streets.

8. Barcelona

When the national team is playing – Spain won the last World Cup – you’ll see cafés and pubs packed with football fans cheering them on, but this hardly detracts from the many incredible architectural feats, great beaches, and the creative Catalan cuisine that combines food from the mountains and the sea.

Large pedestrian zones, lovely little side streets, and an astonishing amount of UNESCO World Heritage Sites characterise Barcelona.

The back of a scooter is a terrific method to go around the city because rentals are quite affordable and you have much more freedom to explore without being stranded with large groups of visitors. If you’re new to the city, you won’t know where to start, which might be frustrating.

9. Dubrovnik

On the Adriatic coast of Croatia, this is a wonderful tiny town. Due to its richness, it remained a somewhat autonomous city state over the centuries, despite its strong relations to great Italian towns like Venice.

Most areas in this region have a distinct laid-back vibe, and the inhabitants are extremely friendly. The small, cobblestoned streets with gorgeous stone house walls rising above are absolutely appealing, and they will take your breath away.

There’s a lot to see and do in Dubrovnik, and there’s plenty of delicious food and drink to enjoy while you’re there.

10. Amsterdam

Amsterdam is extremely popular among the younger set, and despite the fact that it is a site where people from all over Europe – and the rest of the world – come to let off steam, it is nevertheless remarkably well-organized and relaxing.

Many visitors come for the legal marijuana and wild parties, but they are captivated by the culture, architecture, and free-spirited attitude.

There are numerous wonderful events to attend as well, and this summer is jam-packed with interesting activities. Amsterdam is ideal for those who enjoy socialising and having a good time.
